New Releases Aug 22

Here are two new book that are coming out next week. I might post again later if I find some more.


Kathy Reichs has a new book coming out that is part of her Temperance Bennan series. She is the producer of the T.V series Bones, which is based this character. I've only seen a few episodes of Bones, its  a crime, mystery show. The few times I did watch it, it was pretty good.
In this book, Flash and Bones, a body is found beside a race track in a barrel .It looks like there might be a mystery surrounding the city's Race Week. Twelve years ago a young racer and her boyfriend went missing, could this be one of them?  The FBI was involved at the time, but ended dropping the case. Dr. Brennan has multiple theories, and the case becomes even more interesting when an employee of disease control prevention goes missing as well. This is the fourteenth book in the series.




Terry Brooks has a book coming called The Measure of the Magic: Legends of Shannara. I've never heard of this author before but he's been writing fantasy books for three decades.  This book is part of the Shannara saga. If you haven't read any before you probably wont understand what is going on. This book seems to focus on the prehistory Shannara, I don't know if this is a country or a world, but I will tell you what the book is about in case you are familiar with the series.

Now the borders have been breached and predators have got in. When the old Knight of the world dies he gives the staff to a young tracker, Panterra, who must protect them from evil.
